Is it time your business had a legal health check?

It will never happen to us. We’ve all said it, and we always hope that it is true, but deep down we know that prevention is always better than cure. No business owner ever intentionally plans to have a shareholder exit the business acrimoniously, or see their company face legal action due to out of date agreements with a supplier, landlord or even customers.

Dealing with legal action can be timely and costly, and you could end up paying thousands of pounds in legal fees to resolve the situation. Yet in so many cases, such costs could have been significantly reduced or avoided altogether, if the appropriate legal documents were created and then kept up to date.

Whether your business is just starting out and you need to ensure that you are on the right footing, or your business has grown and changed over the past few years, making existing documents out of date, perhaps it’s time for a health check?

Finally, if you are thinking about selling your business in the near future, a review of your existing documents and agreements will allow you to be in the best place possible to achieve a successful exit when the time comes.

In this short session, we will look at these areas and identify where you can take the first steps to a legally healthy business.
